 Site Location for Power Plant: - Area for Power Plant: 5 Has. & Area for LNG Terminal: 2 Has. - ⁠Puerto Santo Tomas  location is considered a natural protection bay (from hurricanes, tsunamis & others). - ⁠Next existing international ports of logistics, national airport, water from river next to the land, city with paved roads, hospitals and medical posts, craines, tugboats, among others.

LNG Supply: 


- The main LNG export terminals in the United States are located along the U.S. Gulf Coast, one of the regions with the largest LNG production and export capacities in the world. Major facilities currently in operation include Corpus Christi LNG, Freeport LNG, Sabine Pass LNG, Cameron LNG, Calcasieu Pass LNG, and Plaquemines LNG, among others.


- In addition, several major projects are currently under construction or expansion, including Rio Grande LNG, Corpus Christi Stage 3, Port Arthur LNG, Golden Pass LNG, and additional phases of Plaquemines LNG, among others. Together, these developments represent tens of millions of tonnes per annum of additional LNG production and export capacity, further consolidating the U.S. Gulf Coast as one of the world’s leading LNG supply hubs.


- Furthermore, additional LNG infrastructure has been developed in recent years across the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, including facilities in Jamaica, Honduras, and Puerto Rico, which could provide alternative or complementary sources of LNG supply to Guatemala, particularly for small- and medium-scale operations.


- Guatemala’s geographical proximity to these LNG supply sources represents a key strategic advantage for the Project. Depending on the port of origin, logistics configuration, and type of LNG carrier, routes from the U.S. Gulf Coast to Guatemala’s Atlantic coast provide relatively short sailing times compared with other international LNG markets.


- This strategic location enables the Project to diversify LNG supply sources, optimize transportation and logistics costs, increase operational and commercial flexibility, and reduce supply-related risks. In addition, proximity to one of the world’s largest LNG export markets strengthens the Project’s ability to negotiate competitive commercial terms and establish a reliable, diversified, and long-term LNG supply chain.

Power Plant 600 MW:


- 8 × Siemens SGT-800 Gas Turbines (57 MW each)

+ 4 × Steam Turbines


- Configured as:

4 independent 2×1 combined-cycle power blocks


- Each block consists of:

- ⁠2 × SGT-800 gas turbines

• 2 × Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs)

• 1 × Steam turbine

• Multi-shaft arrangement

• Triple-pressure HRSG (3-pressure, non-reheat), which is Siemens’ standard SCC-800 configuration.

 

Per 2×1 Block:

•       Gas turbine output: 2 × 57 MW ~ 114 MW

•       Steam turbine output: ~ 51 MW

•       Gross combined-cycle output: ~ 165 MW

•       Gross efficiency ~ 59% (ISO conditions)
